Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

The NRP program offered at Sacred Heart Medical Center is an evidence-based interactive program that involves skills practice, interactive learning modules, and simulation. We take a team based approach designed to teach the technical, cognitive, and behavioral skills required for optimal management of asphyxiated newborns immediately following birth. The course assumes mastery of content knowledge by successful completion of the online examination prior to attending class.
We strive to make the simulation experience as real as possible. You will need to wear scrubs (or the attire you wear to work) to fully participate in the program.
Group classes may be arranged upon request.
Cancellation Policy: Due to class size limitations, registration fee is not refundable if cancellation is made less than two weeks prior to class date.
Study the material in the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 7th Edition (2016). When you feel you have mastered the required lessons, complete the 7th Edition online exam through the AAP/NRP website, access to the exam will be given following registration. Cost of the exam is included with the course fee.
Completion of the exam and e-simulation is required for entry into the class.
Completion of the NRP Online Exam offers up to 11 hours of CE credit. Please print out a copy of your CE credits from the HealthStream website if you desire to have them for credentialing.
