What We Are Doing:

The focus on delivering exceptional patient and family-centered care continues to evolve at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center.  We continue to review our survey data on a regular basis to help us determine opportunities for growth.   We have strategic goals and each nursing care department has a detailed work plan specifically focused on enhancing the quality of care and the patient/family experience.  We also continuously utilize feedback from our Patient Advisory Board members to more fully understand the perceptions and needs of those we serve.  Many of our great ideas and changes come from our patients/families and they are actively involved in implementing these ideas.

Additionally, our Care Check program was implemented across all nursing departments during the summer of 2011. We use Care Checks as one way to ensure that the comfort needs of our patients are always addressed in every patient-caregiver interaction. Caregivers at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center do a Care Check each time they leave your room and they ask about changing your position, toileting needs, pain control, any personal items that you need and your care plan for the day. If you are a patient or a visitor, please be sure to ask our caregivers about Care Checks and let us know how we are doing!

Questions or feedback regarding patient satisfaction surveys or measurements may be directed to Melissa Morrison, Program Manager of Patient Experience for PeaceHealth NW(360) 788-6992. We would love to hear from you as we feel that the feedback we receive is truly a gift - to our organization and to the patients and families we serve.
